The user needed a way to quickly and easily control a user-borne system while on the move in adverse conditions. The original controller was bulky and was uncomfortable for the user's gloved hand. After multiple iterations and research, I came up with a shape that was very easy to use during on-the-move situations. The simplified shape and button layout expedited control of the system by a large amount while increasing the overall system's adoption.
